Everyone Deserves A Meal
A donor-focused story that increased donations by 30% for a food relief nonprofit.
The Story
Summary
The Emergency Feeding Program (EFP) is a Seattle-area nonprofit dedicated to combatting food insecurity. We worked with them to create a video that told their story in their own words. Along the way, we helped them overcome a unique challenge.

Emergency Feeding Program (EFP) has spent decades combating food insecurity across the Seattle area, but its impact often goes unseen. By partnering with schools, churches, and other local organizations to distribute food, EFP ensures meals reach those who need them most while remaining largely invisible to the families it serves.
This low public profile made fundraising difficult. While EFP could point to impressive outcomes, donors lacked a clear understanding of who EFP was and the vital role it played in the community.
The organization needed a compelling way to showcase its impact, build awareness, and inspire greater support from donors and corporate partners.
The EFP wasn't just a food relief non-profit. It was a group of people passionate about their work, some of whom had direct experience with needing meal assistance at some point in their lives.
We realized the best way to tell the EFP's story was through the voice of its key leaders. They could best explain the mission, the need, and the impact. And then we would pair that with doc-style b-roll showing the organization's employees assembling boxes of food.
The effect is to give this organization a purpose (to feed their community), a personality (the workers who are giving it their all), and a need (they can't keep doing this without your help).
EFP was extremely happy with the resulting video. Belynda, EFP Executive Director, said, "R2A Media created an impactful video campaign that told compelling stories from our beneficiaries, which increased our donations by 30%."
This was an incredible project from start to finish. We are grateful to Belynda and EFP for letting us be part of their solution.
