An independent project designed to promote R2A Media while simultaneously sharing our love of music, rhythm, and dance.
The Story
Summary
We created this promotional video to highlight the storytelling techniques and dynamic visuals R2A Media brings to client projects. Special thank you to Shadae Simone, the star of the piece, for her brilliant choreography and performance.

Results
In late 2019, we partnered with choreographer Shadae Simone on an ambitious project that would combine Shadae's brilliant choreography with our storytelling skills, and take place at a spectacular Seattle location.
Unfortunately, that project never made it out of the planning stage. We still wanted to work together, so we searched for another project. Then 2020 came. Priorities changed, people moved, and old plans were set aside.
In mid-2024, we were keen to do a project that would showcase our unique approach to storytelling. We landed on a concept that would incorporate diegetic sound and turn it into a danceable rhythm - a metaphor for finding story in the reality of every day moments.
As we further developed the concept, we realized it would the perfect opportunity to finally fulfill that 5 year-old promise to work with Shadae. We reached out and the result is, "The Pieces Are There."
The resulting video won two 2025 Telly awards (silver for editing; bronze for directing) and has given R2A Media the experience and credibility needed to pursue dynamic, music-based projects.
